GMC Detailing takes pride in providing the highest quality service at a reasonable price, giving you the ultimate detailing experience. We would like to thank you. Whether you are a returning client or trying us for the first time, we appreciate your support.
After many years of finding what works and what doesn't, we have put together a list of terms and conditions that help us maintain the high standards of customer service you have come to know and give you feedback and information on the content of what our services entail. Please take a few minutes to have a read-through so there is no confusion for any party involved.
When booking any service with GMC Detailing, you agree to all terms and conditions listed below. We understand and respect that your time is valuable, as is ours, and when providing a mobile service and travelling on private property, we will always be polite and courteous and ask that we get the same in return.
We reserve the right to refuse, deny or discontinue any service if we deem you as the client to be unreasonable and not show the same respect and courtesy as you. No team member at GMC Detailing will tolerate any verbal or physical abuse under any circumstances and will take the relevant actions should any behaviour be encountered.
When booking one of our mobile services, you confirm that you have a space on the premises that has enough room to move around the vehicle and perform the requested service. This includes being able to open all doors, move around the whole vehicle without tripping on any items on the floor, no low-hanging landing or ceilings, and have access to a power point and a tap that are both easily accessible and safe to use.
If we arrive and any of the above-mentioned conditions are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule the service for a later date/time that works for both parties, and a rescheduling fee of 50% will be required.
Like you, we here at GMC Detailing would like to be paid. Therefore, we request that all payments be made promptly at the completion of the service using your preferred payment method, either cash, EFT (fees and charges apply), or bank transfer.
When booking any service with GMC Detailing, it is always best to advise us of the vehicle's actual condition, not what you would like us to think. Unfortunately, people commonly tell us the car's condition was only cleaned a couple of weeks ago, and when we arrived, it was clear it had been months. All appointments, whether booked online by you or directly with our booking manager, are based on the information you provided us at the time of booking. If the vehicles are in worse condition than previously advised upon arrival at your appointment, GMC Detailing reserves the right to amend the price accordingly.
Prices vary according to the following;
When it comes to removing pet hair, sand & rubbed in grass, these are 3 of the toughest items to remove from a vehicle with normal vacuuming. The complete removal of either one of these elements is not guaranteed with any of our services; however, we do go above and beyond to try to eliminate all visual traces of these items.
We cannot avoid wear and tear when it comes to our vehicles. However, regular maintenance of your vehicle can help slow this down in some instances. Spillages are one of the things that can cause permanent damage to fabric interiors if not cleared up within a quick time frame. Whilst we make every effort to remove all stains when booked in for the appropriate services, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains on all surfaces. When vehicles are left for long periods of time without being cleaned and vacuumed, it is only natural that when you enter or exit the car, you are rubbing the fibres into the seats and carpets, and in return, will make it more difficult to have all elements removed with irregular cleaning. Leaving you with permanent stains that cannot be removed.
Our trained team of experts do not use any harsh cleaning products on any part of your vehicle, and all our chemicals are safe and do not chemically damage carpets, leather, vinyl, plastic, painted, clear coated, or chrome surfaces.
Over time, if your vehicle is not kept up to date with cleaning, like your home, you will see a level of dust, dirt, grime, and even makeup start to appear and get caked into interior components such as dashboard buttons, the steering column, buttons, and aircon vents. When this occurs, GMC Detailing does not take any responsibility for damage due to heavily soiled stains or damaged interior components that may lose their markings due to cleaning and additional scrubbing.
GMC Detailing is all about keeping your investment at its best, and we always recommend Interior Protection to all clients. Results speak louder than words, and this is why our Interior pack is one of our most popular services sold, for the sheer fact it can help prevent stains from seats and carpets and help maintain that new feel and look long after the first month of owning a vehicle.
Sometimes, a simple cleaning is just not enough to remove all odours from your vehicle. In the instance there is a strong odour coming from the vehicle, we can perform an odour elimination, which will help eliminate odours from your air conditioner and the interior of your vehicle; however, please be aware that this does incur additional fees.
In the event that there are some stains and /or odours that cannot be removed with our chemicals and skills, we will refer you to the appropriate people who may be able to help.
We do not clean the roof lining when booking any service with GMC Detailing. The reason is that any chemicals used on the roof lining or any unnecessary force may loosen the glue used to hold the lining to the roof and cause sagging, which, in turn, may have to be replaced. On the odd occasion, we can lightly clean it for you. However, GMC Detailing takes no responsibility for any damage caused.
When it comes to cleaning the windows & windscreen on any vehicle, we aim to give the most streak-free results possible. However, from time to time, there are some factors that will come into play that will prevent this from happening. Sometimes, temperatures may interfere with the cleaning of your windscreen, and in this case, we ask that you allow the car to cool down and then wipe it with a micro-fibre cloth, as a film may have formed on the windscreen/window. If your side and rear windows have had tint applied, things like caked-on food, greasy fingerprints, pens, permanent markers, etc., may not be able to be removed without the risk of damage to your tint. In this case, GMC Detailing takes no responsibility for damage made to window tint if requested to remove marks from the windows with chemicals but can recommend a window tinter to come and remove and replace them for you at your expense.
Everyone knows that you will always look at the outside (exterior) first when you see a vehicle. While we take pride in our work, during every service, we cannot guarantee the finish of our service will be what you are hoping for if there have been extended periods between cleans. Things like stains on your paintwork, scratches, dents and brake dust are just a few of the things even we cannot 100% remove. When it comes to things like your black or grey exterior, textured or smooth trims, while every effort is made (depending on the service purchased) to restore them to their original colour, sometimes they may be beyond repair and will need to be replaced.
While every effort is made to bring your mag wheels back to looking new again, over time, if the break dust is not cleaned off them correctly, this can and more than likely result in baked-on staining. GMC Detailing is not responsible for the baked-on brake dust that cannot be removed completely either on the surface or deep within the wheel. In some cases, the wheels are beyond repair and may need to be replaced.
Bird & or bat droppings, bug splatter, tree sap and road tar will chemically etch into your vehicle's paintwork if it is left for a period. If this happens, it will result in a deep chemical mark on your paintwork, which may require additional work to remove it safely. In some cases, the marks cannot be removed completely without compromising the clear coat. In this instance, we will tell you prior to commencing any work. We strongly recommend booking your vehicle for one of our ceramic coating/paint protection services to prevent this from happening.
All professional detailers will advise you on the best products that can be and should be used on your vehicle, but at the end of the day, it does solely come down to being your decision. While every attempt is made to bring your exterior paint back to its original glory, sometimes this cannot be done, and further advice on what to do can be given.
When purchasing any vehicle, we at GMC Detailing will always highly recommend ceramic coating/paint protection, which will give you peace of mind that your paintwork is being protected. However, your paint protection must also be protected. The simplest way of doing this is by giving your vehicle maintenance cleans every 2-3 weeks, or if it requires it before that time.
Things like wax and polish should not be used on vehicles that have had ceramic coating/paint protection applied, as it defeats the purpose of spending the money on your coatings in the first place and can interfere with the overall effect of the Ceramic Coating.
When washing your vehicle, we always recommend hand washing with the correct products to save you both money and the hassle of having your vehicle painted correctly from incorrect washing techniques.
If you opt out of having ceramic coating/paint protection applied to your vehicle, wax should be applied to your vehicle every 3-6 months to protect your paintwork and try to keep that shine. If this is the option you have chosen, again, correct washing is a must to be able to get the length of time advised out of the wax.
As a part of the warranty process, an inspection of your vehicle is to be carried out annually from the date of the ceramic coating application. A decontamination clean is the perfect way to remove any contaminants stuck onto your vehicle's paintwork and keep that warranty active. A decontamination clean usually takes around 1-2 hours and is a pain-free process. If you choose not to have your vehicle inspected, you risk voiding your warranty.
When booking a mobile service with GMC Detailing, you are booking in an allocated time slot for this service to be completed. Even though we are extremely efficient when it comes to our appointments and allocate travel times between them, there will be occasions when this will not be the case. Things like the weather, travel times, traffic build-up, misinformed conditions of previous vehicles or other unforeseen circumstances all play a role in the running of appointment times.
When booking with GMC Detailing, we know you are booking with a business that you trust, and our team is one we are proud of. We know at times, items are left in the vehicle and are safe from theft. However, for your peace of mind, we ask that all personal items, money (coins in the cup holders or compartments), and any items of significant value be removed from the vehicle before our team arrives.
